Re: Part-time MSCA

I would love to know the answer to this too. I dream of being able to work part time in research and pursue other things outside work that are very important to me. I would love to hear if anyone can say....

Re: Visa length for MSCA in UK

@No42 Can you tell me, when you got a 2 year visa, did they give you any leeway either side for entering and leaving the UK? For example, when I had a two year visa for the US, I was able to enter 10 days before my work started and leave 10 days after it finished. If I get a two year visa for a two ...

Re: Visa length for MSCA in UK

Oh, I will have to take a close look at that. I thought the 500 EU mobility allowance would be expected to cover it. The upfront payment would be great because its not that I think the MSCA salary isn't enough (its amazing compared to my current!) its just the 'all of that all at once' issue. Thanks...

Re: Visa length for MSCA in UK

There are two of us so double all those costs. ~£600 each for the visa, £600 each per year for the NHS surcharge, probably £2300 for hotel quarantine, £1000 for flights, £600 for a few things we need to send air, our other stuff will go by sea £1600 including arrival costs, £450 for mandatory covid ...

Visa length for MSCA in UK

Has anyone done an MSCA in the UK on a global talent visa? Did you get a 2 or 3 year visa? They charge ~ 650 pounds per person per year for the NHS surcharge so I don't want to spend more than I have to. Its already looks like a £10 000 move for my husband and I - bit rough on a single postdoc salar...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

I guess they are communicating just following their ranking, so the ones getting the grant are communicated first and those who have not we’ll have to wait a bit more!! Just guessing here I don't think so. According to the Dream Team my ranking was in the 50s and main list in ENV. I have not heard ...

Looks like it started. I just received an email that my proposal reached the grant agreement preparation stage.
I am going to wear out my mouse clicking refresh even though I already got my results from the Dream-team ;)

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

I tried to contact Dreamer and DreamerGirl, but my PMs seem to just sit in my outbox and not send (they don't go to my sent box). Has anyone else had this problem? 3rd attempt. First time SoE, second time waitlist, this time is my last I could take it to the team I want to work with in the UK (I th...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

I got a rejection email last week, and it took me about an hour and a half to realise it was last year's results as I had been sitting on the wait list. *Face palm* When I try either of the website 'tricks' I don't see anything different. This is the *magic link* version (if I did it right? de-ident...
