Re: MSCA RESERVE LIST 2021
Declining the MSCA for the FWO because of 1 year may prove to be a costly mistake for your career! The MSCA has an EU-wide prestige compared to the FWO which is only restricted to Belgium. This makes sense when you consider that the competition for MSCA is truly global compared to FWO. The doors whi...

Re: HE-MSCA-PF-2021: Flight tickets to the host institute and first rent
Update: I was able to conclusively finalize the flight arrangements with my host university. The conclusion is that the fellow's flight ticket and visa costs are covered by the RTN cost of the grant. But, the fellow would have to personally purchase the tickets & visa first, and then reimbursed lat...

Re: MSCA-PF host institutes with competitive advantages
ERA Fellowships 2022 A number of excellent applications (i.e. on the reserve list) that cannot be funded by MSCA due to budget constraints will be offered ERA Fellowships. Note that MSCA-Global Fellowships are not eligible . Applicants need to choose host institutes in ERA countries at the applicat...

MSCA-PF host institutes with competitive advantages
1 proposal = 3 funding options!!! https://improve.muni.cz/msca-pf-at-muni What is your chance to get MSCA-PF? MSCA-PF is highly competitive. In H2020, to get a MSCA-IF the applicant had to score at least 93% (10-15 % of all applicants) However, there is also alternative funding for your proposa...

Re: MSCA RESERVE LIST 2021
Under the prevailing circumstances, has any successful awardee considered changing the host institute from a UK institution to an EU one?

Re: Applicants with industrial placement
EU-Key project data-JPG.jpg My initial response about your NCP seems terse, and I apologize for that. I believe there was no error as the EU typically never make this kind of mistake. The question is if your placement was positively evaluated in ESR, please note that it's not enough to just mention...

Re: Applicants with industrial placement
The total cost under "Research, Training and Networking Cost" should total 30k euros and not 24k euros, assuming you won the European Fellowship. I also got a placement and my RTN cost totals 30k euros. Also, in ESR, the evaluator specifically mentioned my proposed placement as adding value to my tr...

HE-MSCA-PF-2021: Flight tickets to the host institute and first rent
I would like to start a thread about the flight tickets to the host institute to start the fellowship, as well as payment of the first month rent. What I understood during the MSCA info session was that fellows would be responsible for these expenses; which for fellows with families could be quite ...

Re: Net salaries and how to maximize the MSCA income
Are there fellows going to FINLAND? I would like to exchange information regarding net salaries, accommodation, and living conditions in FINLAND. I just learned that there is a foreign expert tax rate that is somewhat lower than the normal tax rates applicable to resident individuals. Any info?
