Since the budget allocation stayed more or less same as last year, I guess ~1300 in total (including ~1050 standard fellows).

Guys do not jump to conclusions. I had a talk with a resource who believe that the dealy has nothing to do with Brexit. The reason is that too many applicants got high score such that there is practically no gap between a winner and those whose applications have to be turned down. In such a case or ...

Any idea on the number of EU or standard fellowship winners each year?

Last year statistics
~24% of ranked proposals were funded for standard IF. Cut was at 90%.
