Re: Your Opinion Please. Appreciated

Will just add one point: The prestige that goes with the Marie Curie Fellowship is associated to getting the fellowship, not accepting it. You can turn it down, and still write on your CV something in the lines of : MSCA IF 2018 awardee (declined). It will still count as funds you have raised, and a...

Hi Everyone,

I just got a notification from the Comission that my project pre-financing payment has been processed. They just paid about two thirds of the requested amount. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Rob

Re: Transfer to New Host University

You can not transfer your MSCA IF to a different university. Even if the mobility rules were still followed. The supervisor, host, and 2 way TOK played a sizable role in the review of your proposal. Since these are not relevant for some other grants ( for example, the ERC grants) those can be transf...

Re: MSCA-IF awardees in 2019 and academics networking

Starting from your home country (or whichever country you are presently in) should not be an issue. Just ask your contact person at the host institute. I don't see why the EC should have a problem with it, or why they are even involved in this decision. Your work contract is between your HI and you....

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Hey folks, All the best to everyone. Here's a few unsolicited "tips". Read the official Guide for Applicants thoroughly. Most of what you need to know is spelled out there. Trust that more than you trust this forum. There is a fair bit of misinformation here based on guesswork. Follow the guide and ...

Re: MSCA-IF awardees in 2019 and academics networking

I'm still waiting for the GA :? Hope you received the GA Thanks. Yes, I did receive the GA. Finally. Seems like there are still a few people who haven't. The funded projects list is almost 200 projects short. With the deadline for signing being mid next month, I expect everyone will get the GA for ...

Re: MSCA-IF awardees in 2019 and academics networking

I'm also still waiting. And it has been a month. Was informed that they will take earlier starting dates as priority. Since I had given a start date at the end of this year, they will quite understandably work towards finishing the earlier starting ones first. The virus will definitely slow things d...

Re: 2019 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2019)

Folks I’ve a question. What’s the “Management and Overheads” part of the budget for? It’s a fairly substantial amount of money. Management costs to host you. Works towards salaries of administration/HR, IT and maintenance folk, costs for office space(for example, if the institute building is on ren...

Re: 2019 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2019)

I do have a follow up question. Did you highlight your publication record in Part B1? Iirc, reviewers are not obliged to see Part B2(where the CV is) while evaluating Part B1. So they deemed it "moderate" without knowing anything about it? I'm not commenting specifically on Festivus' case, because,...
