Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

A question came up about the evaluation process. Are the reviewers really aware of what proposals are gonna be funded? I dont think they know the cut score while doing the evaluations and, of course, if you give 99 or 65 to a proposal, you know the first will be accepted and the second will not. But...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

It was the case for me last year. I had a relatively young supervisor, but excellent in his qualifications. He had an excellent truck of successful supervisions, great track of publications, the host which already has MSCA fellow... Nothing bad on paper! In the reviewers' comments we could totally ...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

I have applied in 2018 ,19 and this is the third and final application. Based on my previous experience in this forum people who went in to ranking very early got the grant. I went in to ranking during both my previous applications but scores were 85 and 88 respectively. Some people who entered ran...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

The cutoff is pretty steep. Your evaluator just has to make a few overly critical adjustments and you're out of luck. Yup... The cutoff for the SOC panel (in which I have applied) was 93 last year. That's high! And with a 23% increase in number of applications in this panel this year, I geuss it wi...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Not full details are available there. Are you sure it's from the 2020 call and not a recipient from 2019 who is only moving now? SER0, where are you? Since you know that you get the fellowship, can you update us about your status change? So we can refer to you!      :...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Regarding to the comments of evaluators, I think that most times are usefulness because their are not trying to help you to improve your proposal, they are actually trying to justify their decision. I think that evaluators receive a number of proposals, e.g. between 5-10. Each of the three independ...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie discussions without results speculation

indeed my host institute had a section by section guide of what to put where! it was super helpful when doing edits to make sure everything was where it should be. also see if the host has a grants office because if you get the proposal done early enough, they will usually read through and add sugg...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

However, I tried the FWO (Flanders) and NWO (Netherlands). Did anyone try those? FWO has a success rate similar to Humboldt, while NWO is similar to the MSCA one. ^^yes fwo. It’s 1/3 acceptance rate from what they told me. Although this year for their PhD candidates they made them do a 1 minute spe...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Do you know about the success rate of Humboldt Research fellowship? Is it worth it to apply? Here is link which suggests 25-30 % success rate: http://grants.eu-life.eu/detail?id=26 I do not know the exact number of applicants though. Good! I did not try Humboldt because I don't have any connections...
