Me neither, nor would I expect that my prospective supervisor would call/email me to announce the results even if they knew them

Tell me about it! I didn't even know what NCPs were until I came to this forum haha! I just got in touch with my supervisor/ institution and we applied and that was it

It is a lottery. Your evaluation is entirely dependent upon the whims and feelings of whoever looks at your proposal.
