Hi everyone, My first post though I follow all comment since a while. Not sure if it makes sense to "speculate" on the status of evaluation vs ranking. There are multiple groups of reviewers within each panel, it is not known if all the groups have reach their final decision. Therefore, may some of us being "ranking" because the corresponding group of reviewers have finished, and may some others of us being still in "evaluation" because the conclusion of some group of reviewers have still not been fully processed ? BEST of luck everyone !

So, the overwhelming majority of people here are ranking. Self-selection bias? As in, those who invest more into their proposals both care more (hence, seek out and participate in online forums) and are also more successful at the end of the day? :-). Thought?

I think this is farfetched. I do not think they release phase changes unless all evaluation is finished. The phase change has been monitored by the members here for the past 4 calls. They prqxrically have enough data to write a paper on it 😁 So there is a certain percent of speculation but not much any more

I do not think that the task of update the results is done by the evaluators. I think that the the EC update the system when all results are available (evaluations finish).

well if we look at previous years, at most 30% of applications will be below threshold. so the majority of people on this forum being in ranking tracks with that. so my question is: will more than 13% of us be accepted. if so for sure this forum is full of self-selection bias. :)
