Guys I have a question
I’ve applied for the MSCA-IF-CAR
IT says 24 months as duration, but is there a possibility to extend it for 36 months and how do you do it?
Another question is that I’m Indian by nationality, I read that Indians get it for 12 - 24 months
Is that true
I am not 100% percent sure, but my understanding was that if you wanted 36 months you had to ask for it in the initial application and structure the whole application around it, so it's justified. It is not an extension, but rather a different time period you apply for in the first place.
As for nationality, I think it has no meaning whatsoever. Unless you're talking about the host institution and where the project would take place, in which case there might be different regulations for EU country, Associated Countries etc.

I talked to my project manager. He explicitly stated that the results will be sent to the applicant and them at the same time, and the results sent to them in these few days are from the previous year.
So we have to wait until Tuesday.
Nobody knows anything yet. Do not doubt.

If you want 36 months you need to apply for GF, not SF. Then you will have 24 m outgoing phase and 12 m return phase in EU based host.

I saw that people signed some petition for extension of the fellowships because of COVID. No idea how it end up. They always have fixed budget for given call, so I am really afraid that extension is unlikely...

its the NCP we've been talking about who knows your score. its. different depending on. what country you apply, its not your host institute at all. some are nice and reveal info. early. (as is the. case for. iwanttowin or dreamer last year). some. won't.

This is true, but just to add - you could also apply for 36 months of SF in the CAR panel.

I have a CAR fellowship of 36 months, and indeed my application was built for 36 months. If your application was built for 24 months, there is no possibility to extend the project to 36 months. There is no discrimination on anything, including nationality, etc.
