Btw, now I am honestly starting to be piss off independently of the rejection. The point is that even if you think you will be rejected, you never give up completely till you read about it...and I honestly do not see any reason for not sending all the emails today. I am sure they could do that. There must have been a problem with their system as it would be really crazy if they planned before to send all the emails to the winners and then make the others wait for a couple of day. That would be unacceptable. The only good reason I can think of is a technical problem....

If you have already received an email from EU it could be possible to know at what hour (more or less)?

Hi, I have been accepted for the widening fellowship but on the reserve list for the main call. I have received only one email but had two letters in my portal: one about the reserve list but a second one about the widening call. So I believe you should receive both results in one. Wish you good luck

apparently!MSCA_2020_RI_SWE wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 6:51 pmEurope doesn't want us back apparently... Well, their loss! for it doesn't cost us anything to resubmit the project again in the fall (i hope the eligibility still stands for all RI folks and others!!)Seh wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 6:40 pmSame for me, RI and nothing arrived so far, I really hope they are not sending emails based on the scoreMSCA_2020_RI_SWE wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 6:24 pmAnother applicant here, Reintegration panel, still waiting for any results to trickle in...
I love the humor of replies to the MSCA twitter announcements though
Hang in there guys!
I'm lucky enough to already have another position ready for me at my host institution and I'll be still able to send another proposal next year. I have been almost 8 years in the states and honestly, I can't wait to be back in Europe. Good luck with your career and don't give up!
Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)
Europe especially Germany has been very difficult regarding guaranteeing a professor position. I and all my friends had to leave for other countries and became academicians or CEOs in the United States or Australia or China etc. It was like that 20 years ago and still is like that. We never could figure out the key ingredients in securing a professor position in Germany. It seems to be networking - not based on success. So, Europe may not need us.

it's great that you still qualify to resubmit!! these proposals take too much time that could be spent to write an article (or sleep)Seh wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 7:12 pmapparently!MSCA_2020_RI_SWE wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 6:51 pmEurope doesn't want us back apparently... And thanks! I'm sitting in Canada on a postdoc, so not the worst place (especially in 2020), but the funding will be over in the fall, so it'd be great to find something over the summer in good old Europe.
My field is humanities, and the reality is, for everyone independent of the discipline, that there's always a postdoc that will be interested in YOU and YOUR project. In my first postdoc application cycle, I was rejected 3 times before I was shortlisted by an Ivy League University (did not get it though) and received a postdoc fellowship in a top 20 University globally. (if this same trend repeats this year I'll get a postdoc at Harvard, LOL)
So, to everyone reading: I echo Seh's voice of encouragement: don't invest too much in rejections. Just go back to your proposal and apply at a couple more places, and then at a couple more. Target university and national schemes alongside bigger EU funds, you never know what will work. But also be wise and don't just apply for everything: pace yourself and value your time!
Good luck to all of us still waiting and (as it seems) sharping their pens for drafting new applications!
