Re: 2021 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2021)
guys, I've heard that some people get external companies to read over their project. I'm guessing these projects have a good chance. I'm wondering if this is the case for any of you? It seems to me that there are more people ranking than in evaluation so maybe it it's the opposite trend? (i.e. evaluation = higher score). who knows!

Awesome...hahahahahdw2022 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 1:45 pmDefinitely a great way to get a more organized overview of the (hidden) pattern!
Prost to the idea and to ppl sharing the information, and to @Cr@zyChem compiling the data
Simply to give myself some distractions and to get a rough idea of how representative the active users here (i.e. ppl who provided some piece of information) are for the whole msca applicant, I did some maths (credit goes to my math teacher in primary school):
[data counted by Mar. 2 pm]
Number of total users so far: n = 1782 (now is 1790)
Number of active users (i.e. ppl post at least once) so far: n1 = 952
Number of new users (registered after 2021July, considered as new applicants): n2 = 107
thus, we have the number of past users: n3 = n - n2 = 1675
however, not all of them are active users.
To do a rough estimation, the ratio of total active users out of the whole sample is p = n1/n = 0.534, assuming this ratio stays stable, then we can estimate the number of active users among the past users is n4 = n3 * p = 895.
So, we count n4 = 895 past users, spanning across four calls (2017 to 2020), that have provided some (at least 1) piece of information.
Note it is a very conservative estimation as among these ppl, definitely, not everyone reported their phase info and/or results.
I see dw2022 definitely got into the crazyville train! Oh my, lets try to have some fun with it since I cant get myself to do any actual work!

I always give it to multiple people to proof-read. This time I had not much time to do this though.MSCCCCCC wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 1:49 pmguys, I've heard that some people get external companies to read over their project. I don’t know who was the first, but I was the last. (SOC panel and in this forum in general)

Yes, I too thinking so.. Because there are many here with Ranking, while only few with evaluationMSCCCCCC wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 1:49 pmguys, I've heard that some people get external companies to read over their project. I summarised the following information based on my experience and comparative studies made from this link.
The person who went to ranking at the very beginning got the grant or scored above 70 and below 85.
The person who went to ranking after a long time stays in the evaluation scored above 85 and got grant or reverse list or closed to target value.
The person has the information phase means who scored below 70 or have eligibility issue.
I noted the username, their phase change from submission to ranking directly or submission to evaluations to ranking, their panel, percentage of the score if they mentioned in the message with their panel.
