2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
Just spoke with MC rep from my proposed host institution; she is aware of whats going on with delays and such. She has been in touch with other MC reps from various universities and her (their) conclusion is that this whole show is a bit of an unintentional mess, something may have gone awry in MCSA HQ (maybe technical stuff or something). Shes reckons that results will be out this week, that is, before the weekend, but that's just the opinion of herself and colleagues so could be wrong of course.

I think all the host institutions and NCP were expecting the results yesterday. Brussels must have been near to collapse yesterday with all the telephone calls and emails
My guess is that if we call further in the week, on thursday or friday, they will be able to tell an exact date.

Same here, job offer outside academia (but in my field), and salary negotiations on Friday... it would be so much better to know MSCA result before then! In the case that I would get the MSCA (not likely), I might reject the offer and continue in current job until start of MSCA, or I could postpone start of MSCA and do the job for a shorter period (it’s a great job)...
The wait is so frustrating

You are joking right?
You got an offer from outside academia and you are still thinking about it?

Of course he is, theres a lot to think about. This may be an unpopular view on this forum, and in academia more generally, but from my experience academic jobs are pretty handy compared to many non-academic jobs. I hear academics complaining about work-life balance, not being paid enough, marking papers etc. However, its a walk in the park compared to many non-academic jobs, and you get to work on topics that you often genuinely love, and you get to work in the civilized polite middle class world of the university. Its a piece of cake to be honest. I'm 43, I've been worked full time in academia for 4 years now, and its by far the easiest work I've ever had. I wont say its the most enjoyable because I loved some of my previous jobs, but its pretty cool some of the time.
I have a non-academic job waiting for me, its a full 10k above the MCSA in salary terms, but its an on-the-job 39 hour pw management position of a centre for the homeless and addicted with a pretty big staff team to manage, hard work indeed! MCSA is less money, flexible hours, much much easier work, and I get to carry out a research project I designed myself. I honestly cant say if I will accept MCSA if I get it, I will wait for results and decide then,

RANKING! I am at ranking, not that it makes much of a difference but hey at least its some movement...
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
Mine is still evaluation...

I'm still in evaluation...

How can I exactly check the status? I can't find either evaluation or ranking in my proposal in the funding and tenders portal..
