Yep, that is the point. In previous years they always released the results last week of January, apart from last year when they had problems. So they have until the 11th to give us the results. Anything earlier to the 11th is a "favour" they do to the applicants. Might be also that they are pissed off about the amount of requests they got last year asking for the results, and this year they will wait until the very minute. We'll see.oreoreo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 5:11 amWell, officially on the portal it says Feb 11t So I guess the easiest is to have that date in mind (and if it comes earlier, good for us!)PetetheCat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:27 amI wish that they would just clarify that Feb 11th is the one and only results day. The couple of weeks before are way more miserable because of the anticipation than if they would just set a date and we knew that's when results would be out.MSCA-newbie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 3:35 pmHi folks!
Happy new MSCA-IF-2019 madness to y'all.
Nice to read you and, above all, happy to know that we're not alone in this world of waiting misery. Last year we overwhelmed NCPs and officers with questions about the release date, that's why I think that they'll stick to the date and give results on Feb 11th. This doesn't mean I'm not already biting my nails...
Good luck!
I was surprisingly mellow about only making the reserve list last year. Now I have an academic-adjacent job that I really enjoy, so I am trying to be laid back about the results (although I would love the opportunity of this fellowship). Good luck to all of us. Some happy results are waiting out there for us, so I hope as a group many good things come to us.

Do they usually warn when the results will definitely come out?

Nope, they don't. They just release them when they are ready. Most of funding agency do the same with fellowships/grants. They just release results according to timeline.MSCA_CHEM_2019 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:37 amDo they usually warn when the results will definitely come out?

Then in the worst case, we will wait until February 11

They never raised issue in my ethics. Last year I had less complicated ethics as I only put some standard animal work. This year more sensitive stuff but I have not received any issues.SPIN2019 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 7:59 pmWhen did they call you last time?megasphaera wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 7:55 pmI haven't and I had sensitive ethical issues. I remember for sure that on early december 2017 one guy was contacted to clarify ethics. This makes sence - the evaluation phase should be finished by Dec. 1-5. You can also find this conversation somewhere in archive. Then seniors told him that he is going to receive it for sure, otherwise was not contacted. At the end, (according to him), he got the fellowship.megasphaera wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:16 pmThey never raised issue in my ethics.
