Fingers crossed you're close enough to have a chance at getting the grant after all.

Wait and see the evaluation report. I think what you experience is very painful, and it proves that the evaluation process is highly subjective if not profoundly questionable. You can manage this- this is how academia, and, supposedly, the peer-review process, works. I am personally considering a third submission just because I received a slightly better score than last year (86,4% as compared to 83%, although I also think that the proposal was vastly improved), and, honestly, next time after what I read and see here and not just here, I would expect any type of result. But that would be the last time I go through this. These applications require so much work. I prefer spending my time wisely and commiting to something else, not a roulette game... Again congrats to the roulette winners! But don't fall because of this. Not worth your sadness and frustration.PetetheCat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 2:21 pmYeah, but now I am in that group where the resubmitted proposal (which was undoubtedly better) dropped in score significantly from the previous year. I am now waiting for the comments to try and figure out what they claim is wrong. I am really struggling with this.

Guys my private inbox is full. I am sorry I must stop with answers. I must work today.
Just wait for your results. Fucking lazy NCP already knows all results.

it is. but you have to remember you only get in from reserve if something happens to the one on main list that leads to not taking the fellowship. this will probably not happen regularly at all. maybe 1 per list or so on average

No worries.
Since the NCPs don't want to be overwhelmed with requests, now everyone is overwhelming you.
All the best for your future applications!
