You are right. I know people that applied for chemistry panel that got the fellowship but they were not contacted for ethical issues.

I received two emails: one automatic the other one personal!SimpaLif wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 1:05 pmThen you won it!SOC-2018 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 11:53 amSorry to disappoint you, guys but I am almost 100% sure that we will not be informed of the results in the next two weeks, to say the least, because today I received a letter from the EC asking for additional information about the ethical aspects of my proposal and it gives me (the beneficiary in fact) two weeks to reply!
Please let us know what exactly do they ask you. Is this automatic mail?
The first one:

Well congrats in advance SOC-2018!

I think we will know on the set deadline, exactly as last year.

SOC-2018 that sounds very promising - they would not bother with this if you had no chance of being funded - I wish you good luck -

Has those who failed the eligibility check be notified of their rejection early? If one is still in submission/final phase now; does it mean he/she passed the eligibility check?SimpaLif wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 4:56 pmI found some facts for the last year:
1. The evaluation of proposals for this call was carried out between 24 September 2018 and 17 January 2019, with the assistance of 3641 outside experts.
2. Before starting the evaluation as well as during the evaluation, 14 proposals were withdrawn by the applicants.
3. The eligibility check found that — out of the 9,830 proposals received— 115 (1.2%) failed to meet one (or more) of the eligibility criteria and must therefore be rejected.
4. Above-threshold proposals with ethics issues and probability to be considered for funding were subject to an ethics review carried out by ethics experts.
5. Out of the 1,351 proposals that have been retained for funding (main list of proposals), 930 proposals belong to EF-ST (68.8%), 178 proposals are GF (13.2%), 115 proposals are RI (8.5%), 76 proposals are CAR (5.6%) and 52 proposals are SE (3.8%). This shows a similar trend to the proposals that were retained for funding in the previous year (EF-ST: 76,3%; GF: 10,16%; EF-RI: 5,8%; EF-CAR: 3,4%; EF-SE: 4,3%).
6. Most successful host countries (calculated as a ratio of proposals in main list/ proposals submitted): Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Belgium.
7. Top 5 nationalities of researchers: Italy, Spain, India, France, China.

Eligibility check is notified quite early, I think. So if you have not received anything you are still on board.ShizhaoFan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 5:14 pmHas those who failed the eligibility check be notified of their rejection early? For example my friend was rejected at 29.01.2018.
She had 67%
I do not now when actually results published out.
