It is the terrible B-day. I don’t think they can celebrate the potential of EU research endeavors on such a day or within a few days of this.

I am in a mood of gloom at the fact that it has come.
This is heartbreaking. The UK has made a terrible mistake. :(

That's not what the majority of them think. Always driven by their very own interests.

Are you applied in the panel of SOC? are you ranking?

Hi and good luck! Which panel are you? Although it is not really wise to check that (almost none of us here is wise!) you basically visit your proposal's follow-up page and disable styles. There you can see whether your phase is ranking or evaluation. But we do not really know what that means, except that ranking is above threshold. Just that. Everything else is pure speculation.

Social Sciences and Humanities/Standard European Fellowship. So I just did what you described, its says 'ranking'. Dare I have hope? :)

Yeah, like I said social science and humanities. Well it says 'final' on the main page but when I got to follow up and disable styles it says 'ranking'. I honestly have no idea if this is a positive thing, I mean you can pass the threshold and still not get it right?

Obviously, if not most likely, given the statistics! Ranking means nothing. You still compete with 80-90% of the applicants. Means nothing at all.

I came across this forum just now and regret not able to find this while submissions. My status is FINAL for now and I went to follow up but I am not able to find the option to disable styles.

Can anyone comment on this?

Absolutely! But to just have a small 'sign' of success helps with the nerves :)

what was the email like for the people who were placed in reserve lists (last year)? Do you expect to receive the score with comments right away?
The email was clear that you were on the reserve list. But they don't tell you where you are on it - you have to find out from the NCP. The reserve lists are pretty big though and something like 2-3 people actually make it off any given reserve list. So it is satisfying to know you were super close and well reviewed, but also frustrating that you got close but didn't get the fellowship.

Good Luck, I applied also to social science and humanities but still evaluation.
