kitten?

PS: Congrats to those who got it! It's a big deal. To the rest of us, keep trying and keep living! Don't fall, failures and rejections are part of life. This is how we improve. This is how we learn. This is how we finally succeed.
Yeah, but now I am in that group where the resubmitted proposal (which was undoubtedly better) dropped in score significantly from the previous year. I am now waiting for the comments to try and figure out what they claim is wrong. I am really struggling with this.

I called my NCP (France) and they told me they really don't have the results yet. They are aware some NCP have in advance this info; NCP also confirms they are not allowed to share that in advance with candidates.
Anxiety at very high levels, here!
I wonder why some NCPs have the information and others don't. In any case, has someone contacted the UK NCP already?
I did 20 min ago via email. No response yet.
Did you get a response yet?

SOC, 93/100 (Dreamer) , reserve list, UK host. Third time applying.
2017: 87/100, OK-ish comments, a la "elaborate more on this and that".
2018: 88/100, proposal significantly improved and commented on by half a dozen top experts in social science, each from their own perspective so as to cover all the bases. Really esoteric comments a la "wouldn't a 4 month fieldwork be better than the 5 months you are suggesting?" some comments clearly contradicting one another within a single report.
2019: completely ignored the 2018 feedback and just used common sense to tweak the proposal here and there.
My take on things: in order to get the fellowship,at least in SOC, you need to have 93+. This means that first, your application has to be absolutely foolproof and second, the reviewers have to *really* like it so that they choose to ignore potential criticism altogether. And, as pointed out here many times before, anything ovrr 80-ish is pure luck of the draw.
I hope this is helpful.
Good luck everyone!

Based on dreamer's list, I scored 92.6.
Reserve list.
Being very close, but nothing.
So devastating.

Good luck you all.
Sorry to hear that, being so close must be painful.

It's crazy that such a high score does not win you the grant. Which panel are you in?
Wow, your score is exactly the same as last year's cut-off for the SOC panel. Fingers crossed you're close enough to have a chance at getting the grant after all.

Here we go... Lord Dreamer just sent me a reply:

"93.2
main list"

Does that mean that I got it? Oh my... I sure as hell hope that his information is correct, if it is indeed so...

main list means you got it. what is your panel? 93.2 is really close to cutoff and for lif it would be reserve only last year

What happens to those on the reserve list? What are their chances?
