Yes, but there are more projects submitted this year.

Yes, but just a few dozen more, not a significant percentage. For example, for CAR where I have applied this year it is just one more project submitted comparing to last year.

Hi folks,
I’ve a question regarding the budget for 2019 vs 2018. I’m applying in the SE category (first time applicant) and I saw that there were quite a few less applicants in this category in 2019 in comparison to 2018. Does anyone know what the budget for 2018 was? I had heard the 2019 budget was in the ball park of €8m. Is this more or less than 2018 does anyone know?

In short: 6M€ extra applicable only for proposal to specific host countries (called widening countries) which have a "low research output"(or some term like that).

This is my third application, second with the same host.
I also heard the evaluation phase is complete, so hopefully this year we will have the results earlier than last year...
