It doesn't matter what you think. It is not something that you can expect what can happen. Still I didn't get the official results to tell you the exact answer.

My profile and the host are competitive and if the reviewer is giving low scores then that is a personal competition to the host. I got one more grant at a different place but nothing can be replaced by this one.
This I got today a grant.
Summary
A very relevant proposal with a strong CV- with some questions on methodological details and related
impact.

Sometimes reviewers don't hide or tell to a common friend.

Hahahaha, sorry SER0 but give us a break after your 200 papers, almost tenure track, supervision of 17 master students, your boss who is an editor of the main journal in your field, and now with the reviewers who don't hide or tell to your common (for sure also important) friend about the results. I cannot take more of this bull***... The meetings for the people with huge ego are not in this group  Let' s stay focus on some rational opinions and wait for some real info 8-)

Hi guys!

I know the tempo is getting high as the day of judgement is approaching but I would like to quickly ask this question regarding eligibility criteria......maybe someone who is more knowledgeable can shed some light to it.

When do you consider yourself a PhD? It is after Viva voce with a "pass" (with minor or major correction s) as announced by the head of the Viva committee or after you have submitted your thesis with all the corrections made assuming everything is fine or after Senate confirmation is received? I believe the system might not be the same for all institutions.

Sorry that I had to shift the trend of discussion a little bit 😃

well I think that its impossible to have a right answer as it will be different based on what country you did it in/your subject area. For me I consider the day of my defence (I had no corrections and in my system the jury signed the paper work that day, so it was official even if I submitted the papers to the uni the week after).
Thank you lifmc2020 for the reply. I guess you are in Life Science field. I am in Eng'g field. Here (Malaysia), we basically consider it done (informally) after viva voce but officially recognised after Senate confirmation. May I know the country where you bagged your degree? Thanks.

Most of the places three papers are the criteria. Rest is just official formalities.

I think most of the time they consider the date of obtaining the PhD degree as a date of your defense. Something that you can prove (PhD diploma). That was valid for Italy and France where I used to work. But do not worry. If you have not obtained the diploma there is always an option that they will consider your years of an active laboratory work :)
