As someone else commented previously, I believe status will change tomorrow and results will be sent on the last day possible (09)

personally I want this grant to put me on the path of a permanent position..... some day ....so I would choose that without a thought... but I would say, you'll probably know what's right for you when/if both options are real and sitting before you.
I hope all of us will get this fellowship! But I am convinced that this will not solve the main problem...there are too few permanent positions in academia!! Generally, either you get a tenure-track position when you are relatively young or you stay postdoc for some years till you are too old to get a permanent position.. Why do not open constantly permanent positions as postdoc? I guess the research will benefit a lot...
But at some point you want to have some permanence, get a career progression and improve your salary, etc. The permanent postdoc life would not be fun.

I actually would love to be a permanent postdoc...the salary is not too bad, you can do great research and much less responsibilities then being a Professor...

I guess it is not fun if you cannot stay anymore in research... as researcher (postdoc) you will keep doing the work you like.. not something obvious if you leave academia

My PhD supervisor (professor, Biomedical engineering) told me once that it took for him 8 months in industry after PhD to realise that it's not a place for him. He returned to academy and start postdoc. For me, it took 8, almost 9 years in industry after my PhD to realise that he was right and I was wrong all the time thinking that i can do research and apply my skills there (in industry).
I will never miss my job, i will always miss my salary
But now, as a postdoc, i feel the most happiest person in the world. :D

Does anyone know what is the required percentage of contact that can be used for MSCA-IF? Is it possible with 50% contract? Any experience of people you know? Thx

“Researchers may, in agreement with the supervisor and beneficiary and with prior approval by the Research Executive Agency (REA), implement their project on a part-time basis. Such a request may be introduced during the action implementation.”
