DISTRACTION TOPIC:

Did anyone submit a proposal related to COVID19? Im super curious to see if these will be more successful than others, as seems to be the case happening in a lot of other grants/big biology journals. Me I did not, I am a cancer biologist.
PHY here.
I designed a new type of sensor that can be used for cancer or viral research. I also wrote it can be commercialized etc but I did not write that IT WILL BE because at the end its a training fellowship (not a research one). Also the host advised me to not to save the world and tune it down :)

indeed very strange. Anyways, as only one person has "true" either we all failed or it means nothing. either way we won't know anything until Monday.
For me: isCoordinator":true,"isFromCoordinator":true
Phase: evaluation.
Last year it was the same and I was rejected.
Maybe you'll get it this time. :)

Computational biology and physiology (cardiology)

Another DISTRACTION TOPIC:
Who put the detailed TASKS (T1.1, T1.2 etc) in "IMPLEMENTATION".
I put WPs and detailed Milestones, but not TASKS.
Waiting for your answers :)
I put all  (WPs divided in Tasks) I put a short description who will be assisting me in each task, how much time it will take and why (why so much time). Plus Milestones
I think this is the correct format, but after reading an accepted proposal which had not considered discussing the milestones, person-months,... I came to realize this is a pure lottery and that like many other people said it only depends if reviewers like your proposal or not

The evaluators are also our peers (seniors) so they can understand milestone, deliverables or whatever you choose to call it. Therefore this should not be a deciding factor..if the reviewer can understand and follow your points then it is okay... I think one has to strike a balance between been concise and clear enough for the reviewer to understand.

Personally I did be bored if I was reviewing a project that seems to assume the reader ve no basic knowledge of how research is done.

I did task 1.1 , 1.2 etc. why?
Because
1. I had no place for the table with tasks
2. I put a big table with deliverables per each WP
3. I put a table with milestones and connected them to the deliverables because I received a comment on this.
4. I saw the winning proposal without tasks at all
But now I am not sure at all
I put tasks, deliverables, milestones, etc. But I think this is one that depends on the framing of your reviewer to the proposal. If they like it and it is detailed, you’re fine. If they don’t like your proposal, they can pick at whatever you put to lower your score.

Thank you for the answer. I understood everything except for the last sentence...

that's cool I hope you will be funded so I can see this sensor out in the world :D . one nod I did make to COVID: I did in my "RISK management" put what I would do if there was another confinement order preventing lab work... but I assume many people thought of this ...

I also mentioned COVID in risk management.

I used WP, tasks, deliverables and milestones. But I've no idea if I screwed it up. This is my first time
