I tried to go for stoic mode, told myself I won't check the forum and just wait for the email. Yet here I am, following and feeling the rush. Still not sure I want to bother Dreamer, who will surely have a too many people wanting to know. On the other hand, getting it over with before my second pfeizer covid vaccination on Monday would be good! I have a fear of needles, and it's enough to stress about only that

Thanks! It is tomorrow, that why I will wait. I am in a good mood and whatever it happens I will take it. Time to relax. Good results at work which keep me distracted

Tomorrow is my birthday too! We'll be celebrating followed mourning (I'm in Evaluation phase, which seems to mean there's no chance for me? I'm new to the forum so correct me if I'm wrong)

Hi all,

I've been lurking here silently for the past few days and have really enjoyed everyone's good spirit!

First time applicant here, trying to manage my feelings about the whole process. This last week has felt like a complete waste of time, refreshing my browser and emails every 10 minutes and learning the joys of disabling styles in Chrome...

I just wanted to reiterate what some of you have already said - for myself and for others, since we will all be out of our misery in a few days (in a few hours? )
This is a competitive grant and at the end of the day, only a few people will be funded because unfortunately, the amount of money invested in this is limited. Being rejected doesn't mean anything about your skills as a researcher. It sure sucks, and it's a tough time for young (and not so young) researchers out there.

I think we need to try not to take it personally and keep moving forward. I've noticed in the past that things have a way to work out. I've been rejected for jobs only to later find an even better job. And sometimes when I'm really anxious, I realize there are a lot of wonderful things I could do besides research (although I can't think of anything in this moment - haha ) and that if I can't make a career out of it, then I will have enjoyed the journey and I'll move on to other things.

We can't all get it, it's the whole point of this process. Good luck everyone, keep your amazing spirit, and let's keep living our lives no matter what happens to us with this $#!t
