An interesting document : cumulative percentage of proposals with < 70 and >70 (for each panel in 2019) :
https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tende ... les_en.pdf
The cutoff is pretty steep. Your evaluator just has to make a few overly critical adjustments and you're out of luck.
Yup...
The cutoff for the SOC panel (in which I have applied) was 93 last year. That's high! And with a 23% increase in number of applications in this panel this year, I geuss it will be even higher?! Not encouraging...

How do we know the cut off score for funding? or is it something decided by the EC?

I think if the phase changes to "Current Phase: Grant Management" means that we have got it based on past experiences and this might not happen until we receive the email probably.

I am still in evaluation, so I am below 70?

I am in ENG

Try Firefox. Go to your proposal, follow up and change the view - page style- no style :)

Good for you! I am starting to give up hope, only shred thereof is that it was submitted really close to the deadline and the proposal was created on the portal a few days before.

Hi There! Same here, also in CAR and still evaluation and I both made the proposal and submitted it quite late.. Let's keep fingers crossed for now, don't lose hope!
We switched to evaluation almost at the same time, so yes.... fingers tightly crossed!

Does anyone know what happened to those who were in evaluation since the beginning of January (I think it was EMC and someone else)

It was me! Since at least 11th January. Third attempt,. First 84 second seal of excellence 87, let's see this year. Still in evaluation...

They will have a pool of money and a ranked list of projects. They will go down the list distributing that pool of money. At some point the allocated Euros run out and then whatever score they are at is where the cutoff is. There is some language somewhere about how they adjudicate for projects with the same score on the cutoff. I think then it's who has the higher score in Excellence, but I can't remember properly.

CAR was one of the lowest cutoffs this year, but with Covid I am sure this will change.
