This seems to go in the same direction that the tentative theory we have debated about for this last days. Lets see if some of the early ranking got rejected.Chemista wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:26 amI got ranking last year 5 hours later than those who went ranking first in the morning. I got 87, my partner went ranking a few hours after me and he got 80. I think the ones with ranking on the 1st of March early in the morning will get it, for the rest it is random.

The website admin CountZ had a nice summary for 2017 results, which look a bit different from the past three-year patterns nicely summarized above.
Just to add some extra info.
Anyway, I’ve been prepared myself for not getting the fellowship as I went to ranking on March 2. It is my first and last application, have decided to not pursue for a career in academia recently to have a better work-life balance (and habe a dream dog finally)

Did you apply for a global fellowship? It seemed that those wanting to do the 2 year EF went into ranking on the 1st, but those for GF went to ranking on the 2nd. It's good to be prepared for the worst, but do not give up hope entirely friend! Though I do understand the desire for a better work-life balance and the chance to get a dogdw2022 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:43 amhttp://www.talkacademia.com/viewtopic.p ... &start=710

In my case is EF, and I think there are several more similar cases (i.e. EF and ranking on Mar. 2).

This is my third and last application as well. Was second in reserve list last year, finally rejected. This time ranked late.dw2022 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:43 amhttp://www.talkacademia.com/viewtopic.p ... &start=710

I also decided to leave academia, it is not worth it, there is a whole beautiful world outside.
This grant would help the transition but not necessary.

In my case (GF), getting the fellowship would grant me a position in my hometown university. This would help me to improve my life quality a lot, not that being a prof is the easiest job in the world, but I could finally find stability and I would not have as much pressure to publish as I do now.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Saw the change to ranking in the morning of March 02. Last time checked on March 02nd around 3 AM was in submission.*

Same (or rather similar) timing for me. I checked at about 4am CET on March 2, checked again at about 3pm CET and saw it had changed into ranking. I'm also EF - SOC, acronym starts with T, last name DStuckInPostDocHell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 2:19 amLong time lurker, first time poster.

Also in the team of first and last application.
I also went to ranking on March 2 (GF in my case)
At least, MSCA application was a good experience, I applied to another grant after as a backup plan in the case I don't have this one, and all the time I spent on MSCA made me complete my other applications much more efficiently!
