Torturing myself further by looking through my proposal again and seeing so many things that could be torn apart in evaluation
There’s always things. My proposal was reviewed by three supervisors, the grants office at my host, and two former evaluators (because my host is a well-oiled machine) and still I feel certain that many parts of the project are subjective and will be rejected. : (
That's how these things should be done, in my experience getting support from the institution and other people is what makes a difference. My girlfriend applied this year and I was the only one reviewing her proposal. Her prospective supervisor barely read the proposal like a week before the deadline. The institution didn't bother doing anything, and the NCP replied that they don't review proposals. It's really difficult to get a grant without getting any external opinion on the proposal.

I wish I have seen this thread earlier. I did not know when my status changed (who knows if it matters).
My knowledge of this thread came from someone who didn't get it last round. She said this forum has more info than MSCA. She was right! 🤣

Another first-timer question:

What is 'Type of MGA: HORIZON-AG-UN'?

Cheers!

Getting support also makes you more confident while writing and saves time googling how things are done. The uni had a dedicated grants manager for MSCA applications who gave me sample successful proposals and documents with tips and suggestions. Not to mention, she made sure I don't cram by constantly reminding me of what's missing in my application. 🤣 She also repeatedly read parts I was not sure about. I also had friends who gave their reviews/evaluation and my PI made sure that the scientific part was solid. Support kept me sane, honestly. Although it gave me a very stressful time, I am happy I made the application, whether I got it or not since I am writing a BBSRC discovery fellows grant that is more lengthy than MSCA. I was able to just lift some things from the MSCA application which really helps. It's kind of sad though that in our academic life at this point, we only need one proposal to get funded but getting one is so hard and demanding and stressful and draining.

What a shame... I am so sorry to read this. This is a very competitive and demanding process. I don't understand how some supervisors can leave the applicant alone. MSCA application process is supposed to be a team effort.

Now three PDF files in GAP. B1, B2 and combined one.
Yesterday it was only the combined one.
