I have a general question for all you guys, do you think h-index is really something they consider during evaluation? I was having a discussion with a colleague, because for me h-index sounds a bit like a fallacy to measure ones competence. But I may be wrong .. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

MSCA fellowship is now very competitive as the number of applicants far outweighs available fund. Besides, success is somehow dependent on subjective opinion of the evaluators!

It probably depends on your field... Some fields co-author everything while others tend to be co-authored with 2 authors max or just single authored, which really changes H-index.

I didn't check my email or the europa web. I am directly checking this forum. I know Monday will be my day.. and i wil be sleepless.. i emailed my host but it seems that he doesn't know about the results (my mind - oh really?) Iam almost sure i may not have success this time.. bc iam still in Evaluation...
Still I have planned to cook and enjoy biriyani, naan, spicy dhal and crispy dosa tomorrow yum yum

Are we still sure that evaluation means rejection? I thought we debunked that speculation.

Last year, one of the negative comments on my application was that I did not publish enough in the area of the topic of my application. So, I do not put it past them to also look at H-index. But it is just my speculation.
