It is not true, at least for last year call..

I talked to NCP, timing for ranking has nothing to do with awarding of Fellowship.
Last year, I got 92.2 and was in reserve list but phase ranking was shown by magic link on 7th Feb at 4.30PM and 8th got the result.
92.2 and you were reserved list? Oh Lord...I don't have any hope. How can they choose between one project vs another one? Anyone knows that? Thanks

Above a certain score it is just luck.
Evaluation of proposals has a big random subjective part.

Like when submitting a paper and a reviewer is ecstatic while another says it is crap and rejects it.
What I didn't like is that some of the ideas of my last failed application have been published in the meantime by other groups.. Makes you think maybe they were part of the evaluation committee and took inspiration.

Same situation for me: 3rd attempt -GF- first two both >85 and Evaluation till now. It is so hard to believe that i will have <70

First and second march can be solved by adding the timestamp of your projects.
Wait, can you elaborate? Because I'm a bit dying to know if I'm 1 or 2 March.

Yeah! it's tough like this...
That's why in some panels the cut off is really high, like last year LIF I got 94 and the cut off was 94.8, so dumped into the reserve list!

Just going round and round in circles about the same topic is exasperating... We started with the magic link discussion two weeks ago and there is nothing else that had happened since then to keep theorizing about the meaning...

I believe, I feel, I think...

My NCP (Flanders) said that they did not have an exact date for next week on which to expect the results to be announced. They added that the commission probably does not know themselves at this moment. This seems to match the announcement from yesterday that results will be released throughout next week. A bit messy.

I do not think your score should be below 70%. This might explain why some people who remain in evaluation later get it. There might be some issues in your case that they are trying to resolve like.....if you should be on the main list or reserve list. Just my own opinion. Again, if this is the reason, I wonder how ranking is done before we can see it using the magic link. Is it possible that they resolve issues like this and re-rank proposal? I do not know....

When did you get rejection notice eventually?
