quick question - is our result a only a result of the reviewer's "grades" or is there a phase where the European commission actually has a bit of influence (i.e., judging which projects are more "interesting" for Europe from an economic point of view etc.) ?
Reviewers assign scores, proposals are then funded from the top score and downward until they run out of funds. That's it, no other considerations are made.

Yes, simply put in a nutshell. But again, if two or more proposals score equal and they are at the cut-off value, decisions must be taken.

ok thanks for all the answers :)

that's what I thought just wanted to make sure.
I did read somewhere in their litterature that things like gender balance etc. can be taken into account for equal scores...

I was told by my NCP that when there are proposals which are on the limit of being funded but have the same score, the do get separated based on gender and the region in which the postdoc will take place.

But if you are above the limit, the score isn't balanced based on those factors

Yeah that's right, but still I'm anxious to see things moving...
However, I don't think that releasing the results will take too many days. Once the process starts there should be no problem in uploading the evaluation reports and sending a bunch of emails (they managed to do that for much higher numbers of applicants in the past years). The question is: will they start the process tomorrow?

Yes, indeed. I don't know exactly which additional criteria are used for MSCA, but for other calls you can find it in the user guidelines, so I think you can find these additional criteria there for MSCA as well.

I sincerely hope so. I'm stuck in this bubble of eternal waiting...
