I collected my thoughts after sulking a bit. I think I have come a long way from the medical student in India and moved across 3 countries over the past 6 years, completed my PhD, got numerous awards, I have a wide skill set seldom found in one person (not bragging but trying to be see the bright side). I take immense pride that I am an MD/PhD, about to publish pretty good and while MSCA has been an elusive dream, I am focusing on moving back to India and start my own lab sooner than later.

Read the weakness of my proposal and it is rejected.

Weaknesses:
- The measures to enhance the researcher's career prospects are likely to have limited impact as regards professional maturity and
independence, beyond already acquired status (Associate Professor stage).

Something similar here...

Was my last try as an applicant!
Hope to try one day as host
It is possible that we had the same reviewers - I am also in SOC.

Weaknesses
- The Gantt chart is broken down to a bi-monthly basis, which affects the assessment of its quality in terms of consistency and accuracy.

Did anyone receive funding with a bi-month gannt chart? Because I already saw approved projects who did it, and that did not seem to be a problem.

I am sure you have an excellent CV and a lot of experience. I hope this result does not affect your feelings about science, because I am sure a negative result for MSCA really does not matter... Good luck with your new plans! :)

Hi Guys...
I got my third rejection in a row (GF-ENV). From 83 first year, 77 the second year, to 78 this year.
Probably I am the first who used the word "lottery" among 393 pages of comments  but I don't want to use it anymore. I think that who got it, deserved it. For sure. It is not all about lucky.

But something doesn't work with MSCA. This is clear. The first year, I started to write the proposal in the second half of July (2019) and the deadline was around 10 September. Only two months, no experience at all in writing proposal, and the proposal reviewed only by both supervisors. I also remember that in August I went 10 days in Budapest with my girlfriend for holiday. In 2019, I had only few published papers and no experience after the PhD dissertation. When I got results I was very happy. I remember well.

After three years, I improved so much my CV and also my skills in writing proposal...and the results what says...that I did my best the first time. I cannot accept this, just because this is not the truth.

Winning a MSCA for an italian researcher means a lot, believe me. It is the fastest way to get a permanent job in academia (unless you are very close to someone important in the university) and we are based all our expectation and future family projects, on what? I am so confused...really Idon't know what thinking about.

BTW, thanks a lot for your company these weeks! I loved your speculations for everything

Did anyone from Brazil here get it? it was my second attempt (in the first I got 93.5%) and now 95%.
I was hopeless because the project was not properly reviewed, but it was approved.
I'm going to Spain on a sustainability project (chemical/food engineering).
I did! Also host in Spain! There's another fellow Brazilian also from CHE who got via ERA! 🥳🥳🥳🥳👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow, how cool! Congrats on the approval!
I'm going to Valladolid (UVa) and you?
CEU, Madrid
It turns out I was not so crazy speculating about the living costs in Madrid 😊
