Hi all,

My NCP just sent me a mail saying the EC will probably start contacting people on the reserve list in the first week of July. Hopefully many of us will receive good news soon!

Thank you for sharing that, emancipatedcity! I hadn't seen the news. They were quite late with that as well, as the extended deadline for signing with ERC was, from what I remember, June 20.
As for our situation, if they're indeed waiting for all the GAs to be signed before contacting people on the reserve list, there's still a looong way to go (just 772 "funded" so far, including those with UK hosts), unless more have been signed already and the portal hasn't been updated. Which I kind of doubt...
Did any of you get any additional news from your NCPs? Mine is very secretive.

Hi all, new here because I can’t find a single forum online that discusses the British Academy postdocs. I assume there are a lot of impatient postdoc applicants out there waiting to hear back apart from the Marie Curie ones. Does anyone know what the process is for the second stage BA awards or if they’ve heard back yet? The website said June but no word so far. A friend of mine told me they usually look for further funding to give out more awards each year but this takes longer, maybe even until autumn. Either way it’s frustrating and stressful.

To keep your hopes up: I was told by my NCP I'm first on the reserve list for my panel and I didn't hear from the EC yet. I also keep refreshing my inbox hoping for an e-mail

Hehe, thanks! I haven't lost hope yet, but I did lose my patience. Hence, the wild dreams.
As for you, I'm 100% sure you'll get it. It's just a matter of time.
