Hello,
The 2022 call is now open. I read somewhere that resubmission is not possible for people on the reserve list.
So we have to wait until a rejection letter comes? Would it come later than the resubmission deadline?
I read from here:

Well, someone there says that their NCP confirmed that they would keep their place in the reserve list even if they do resubmit. And another person says that they did resubmit while being on the reserve list. So it's all good, we will be able to resubmit while staying on the reserve list. However I, for one, still hope that we'll make it to the main list before it comes to that. ;)

Also, check out this address from yesterday: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/ ... p-assembly

"We are deeply disappointed that the EU countries continue to delay formalising the UK’s participation in Horizon Europe (and Copernicus, Euratom Research and Training). There is no practical reason for this delay - the EU is not fulfilling the commitments they made when the TCA was agreed. It is frankly disheartening that a number of countries have now successfully associated to Horizon, including for example Israel and Kosovo, while the EU continues to delay the UK association. And this is purely political - the EU have drawn links to the Northern Ireland Protocol, an entirely separate issue. And the EU’s approach is putting long term collaboration - on what are shared challenges - at risk.

Now we have done literally everything that is required on our side - all that is required is for the EU to complete its formal processes, and to give its delegates in the Specialised Committee a mandate to agree to adopt draft Protocols that were agreed under the TCA. The UK stands ready to become a significant financial contributor to Horizon, and that would be for the benefit of UK and EU scientists, researchers and business alike - and it is the EU which is preventing this.

[...]

So we continue to press the EU to resolve this issue, but have been clear that we cannot wait forever; we will be ready to deliver domestic alternatives."

An important development, indeed! Will be interesting to see how many applicants with UK hosts will have to opt for UKRI insurance.

Well, there are definitely (at least) some applicants who cannot wait anymore and need to sign as soon as possible - whether it has to do with the need to have continuity between projects, visa or anything else. Some of them have posted on this forum, but I'm expecting there are considerably more. But let's see. ;)

Good morning, guys! Here is some Monday morning news: https://www.timeshighereducation.com/ne ... ticipation
Also, the competition for UKRI Horizon Europe guarantee is now open for MSCA successful applicants. If you have any additional news, please do share. ;)

Update: I may be mistaken about the UKRI competition being open for MSCA... :? In a tweet (posted on May 10th) it was mentioned that the opening date for MSCA fellowships would be May 31st: https://twitter.com/UKRI_News/status/15 ... 8025310208

I cannot figure out - or at least I cannot be sure - from the page I shared with you (https://apply-for-innovation-funding.se ... ew#summary) if the competition is already open for MSCA as well... Although it is mentioned that "This funding route is for collaborative research and innovation calls under Pillars 1, 2 and EIC calls under Pillar 3." And MSCA is under pillar 1 (https://ec.europa.eu/info/research-and- ... -europe_en) Maybe they just changed the deadline...?

Maybe there's a successful candidate here with a UK host who may be able to clarify this? :?
