As we, unfortunately, don't have any other news yet, I will try to attend this webinar tomorrow, maybe they mention something relevant for us as well. You can also join, if you can, and you can even send questions for the panel in advance. So check it out - https://www.universitiesuk.ac.uk/latest ... on-updates
Unfortunately, there didn't say anything new that might be of interest to us. Just what we already know - that the association will most likely not happen anytime soon and that they will probably start acting on plan B.

However, they did say something that may be of interest to those on the reserve list with UK hosts. Unfortunately, URKI will not reach into the reserve lists. So you can only get funded if you make it to the main list and you get the grant agreement preparation invitation. :? I'm sorry for those who are in this situation...

Thank you for sharing this Trina!
Yes, from what I am reading on the FB group, MSCA winners with a UK host will be funded from UKRI and they won't even be allowed to refer to them as MC fellows.

Hey, gigi-7! Thank you so much for sharing that! So that's what was happening today... (I was actually wondering about the notifications regarding the disruptions in the functioning of the portal today and what they were about)
This is really important. Maybe they'll start contacting people on the reserve list soon. :?

Yes, that’s what I thought. Now that the offical rejection letters have been sent, they might contact people in the reserve list. This year, there were ~200 projects with a UK host funded, so I would expect ~200 people from the reserve list across all the panels to be contacted.

That's right. There were 227. ;)

Hello trina_80.
Thank you very much for the information! I have been informed by the Greek NCP that there was a meeting (I believe between EC officers and also NCPs) on June 15th, where they discussed the issue about UK. She told me that people from the reserve list will be contacted very soon. I am 7th on the GF-ENV reserve list. Do you know how the 227 UK host projects are distributed per panel?
Thank you!

Additionally, wouldnt it be reasonable to assume that those in the reserve list who also have a UK host be automatically disqualified? (Assuming that UKRI is not going to fund those projects).

Hi!
Thank you so much for the info!
Unfortunately, I do not know. However, 227 out of 1156 (the total number of grants awarded this year) is roughly 19.6%
I guess you can assume that the percentage holds (more or less) between panels. In EF-SOC, for instance, there were 278 selected proposals. If 19.6% of these were with UK hosts, then roughly 54 people should be selected from the reserve list.
However, the percentage may vary significantly between panels... I do not know. :?
Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
