Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
Last year, I got to the ranking phase quite early and I got 91 (SOC panel). Now I am still in evaluation (it's a resubmission). I find it hard to believe that this year the same project got less than 70. Technically, it is possible, but it would be weird. We shouldn't worry too much about the ranking, I think, but speculation is always fun

I think would be better with the first letter of the Surname, not the name...
Last name = Surname

To add to my answer, I just passed to RANKING (between 13:30-14:00). Nonetheless, I agree with all your responses and adhere to the line of thought that says that the phases do not mean anything.belin wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:34 amI am afraid I do not understand this call. I am still in EVALUATION in the CHE panel, and I find it hard to believe that the proposal did not surpass 70%. I guess it is still possible, but I reckon it is unlikely. Last year I had 90% in a worse project.
What is tricky about this year, at least in the CHE panel, is that looking at the spreadsheet of this year, only 3/12 applicants are in RANKING, which is in stark contrast with the ratio of last year, that at the end of the evaluation was 10/1, so inverted. This could indicate that not all the reviews are dumped into the system, that my self-assessment is wrong, or that our estimations of the meanings of the magic link are farther than we think/are modified in every call.

Me too, just passed to ranking. At 12 it was still in evaluation.belin wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 2:00 pmTo add to my answer, I just passed to RANKING (between 13:30-14:00). Guys, I don't want to be a spoiler but don't expect much logic from this evaluation. In my first application I wan't too good but I got a seal of excellence (86,5). I though with an improved project, better hosts and lots of help from my supervisor if not better I would score at least the same. Well, second time I got 58.4. So, this year I changed hosts again and improved the project but I know anything could happen. I could get an even worse score this time.
This shit is random and your score does not necessarily reflects the quality of your proposal, rather it is more a matter of if the person reading it was in a good day and liked it.

I got 92 first year, never checked the magic link. Last year my second application, the quality of the proposal was really enhanced. Got around 75 and never changed to ranking. This time I changed the panel and all the proposal. I have just turned to ranking between 12 and 13.30 todayKakopli_17 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 1:40 pmLast year, I got to the ranking phase quite early and I got 91 (SOC panel). I've just turned to ranking too. Probably you are all right about the evaluation, it depends entirely on the reviewers.Spain-1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 2:32 pmI got 92 first year, never checked the magic link.
