My experience so far...

Last year, I got seal of excellence (87,8): 4.5, 4,2 and 4,4.

I tried to improve the weak parts with the team of my university, and I think we did well. But I have not received any news yet.

Finger crossed
Fingers broken,

Rejection here, another seal of excellence (85,2): 3.9, 4.5, 4.8.
It's funny the part that was high scored last year is down this one.
Did you get the email or you saw it at the portal?

I am new here. First-time application in EF-LIF, totally new to this fellowship. 5, 5, 2.5. score 90%. On the reserve list. How can I know my rank? I feel the chance to be funded is very slim.
Also, does another one try to appeal? My proposed research is longer than 2 years, that's why I only got 2.5/5. Tbh, 2 years is not realistic for life science research...
Thanks a lot.

I just got the rejection letter too, unfortunately. I did not read the ESR and I still don't know if I will apply next year or not (most likely not).

Also, I was one of the first to change from EVALUATION to RANKING - and I did not even get the SOE. Hence, I would say that the order in which one goes to RANKING does not mean they got funded - I would say, as said before, it may mean that the panel was able to reach a consensus quicker.

I wish you all good luck - either to those who got funded or who will try to apply again.

EF-CHE
Evaluation till the notification

2022 -> 67.2

This was the second time. The first time I got 84.2 (2020). At that time the main weaknesses were not directly related to the idea of the project, but to flaws regarding the structure of the proposal.

The second proposal was improved (clearly not) on the basis of the previous weaknesses, also by changing the host.
The main idea was the same, but probably two years make it less original than the previous one.

I felt really disappointed that the reviewers were requiring data to be shown in the proposal to convince them that the proposal is feasible. This is after giving the excellence part with very good comments.
