Now that the euphoria has settled in... Congratulations to all recipients, and my best wishes to all the ones that are waiting. My mailbox in the forum is open to anything I can help you with, in this call or in the next ones. My mindset for this proposal was to check all the items in the checklist that are asked by the template, in contrast to my previous attempt (~90%, last year) where I was a bit more flexible in letting my writing flow.

I just received the declaration of honour and related documents, but I will wait for my NCP to contact me, I am in Japan and the timeshift is huge to coordinate anything.

I am 89.2%. Interesting to see that they require some data for the proposal.

Strenghts:
+This proposal is very well written. The aims and objectives are pertinent and clearly presented.
+The proposed experiments are novel and ambitious.
+The proposal describes cutting edge techniques which will be used to address the hypothesis.
+The proposed methodology is well-designed and takes advantage of experimental models of cardiac IRI,
redox biology, and mitochondrial bioenergetics studies.
+Open practices implemented in the proposal are appropriate and very well integrated in the proposed
methodology.
+The project presents good multidisciplinary and complementary techniques to address the aims of the
proposal, using in vitro models (bone marrow-derived macrophages and cardiac tissue macrophages) and in
vivo models of cardiac IRI.
+The qualification of the supervisor is excellent and the expected training in research and transferable skills is
very well described.
+The expertise of the host laboratory in the cardiovascular redox field is excellent.
+The two-way transfer of knowledge between the researcher and host organization is well addressed. The
researcher´s experience (macrophage biology, phagocytosis assays, live cell imaging, proline metabolism, and
CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing) will be transfered to the host organization.
+The professional experience of the researcher is convincingly described and together with the publication
record it confirms that the researcher has the experience and technical skills necessary to implement the project.
+The researcher has a very good track record in terms of publications and grants, commensurate to the stage
of career.

Weaknesses:
-The feasibility of the project is not convincingly demonstrated since preliminary experiments are not clearly
shown.
-The gender dimension of the proposal is not convincingly presented.
