that is my question
that is my question
There's plenty of strategies to avoid overloading the system and avoid leaving the candidates wondering what's going on... But as usual the EC doesn't care about the applicants, we're just numbers on a screenpav wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 1:20 pmAt least the EC could have been transparent about their strategy (if they had one ). One way to prevent servers to overload is to announce ahead of time that ABC panels will be announced on Monday, XYZ on Tuesday, etc... Take inspiration from the Nobel prize announcements. One field per day.michelef wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 1:02 pmYeah the results seem to have slowed down...Fred_Keningau wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 1:00 pmIt seems like the EC stopped sending out email since the portal maintenance at 08:00(CET)? Correct me if I'm wrong..
Is there anyone that got the email/evaluation report after 8am CET?
I received email at 04:57 am this morning (Declaration of Honour: Signature required). No congratulations or whatsoever. But in the portal I can find ESR and Invitation Letter (addressed to the host). I got it with 92.8, a first-time applicant. It is indeed a lottery. Do not lose hope yet. All the best.
How many of you are still waiting to get the results?teddyberry wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 1:32 pmI received email at 04:57 am this morning (Declaration of Honour: Signature required). First of all, congrats on your high scores! (three times!). I think you should be proud still. And stay positive. This year there were less applicants and more funding, meaning more proposals were awarded. Which also means more winning applicants will drop, that's how I see it anyway...Frydendahl wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 2:29 pmThis was my third year applying, resubmitting the same proposal as last year (with some revisions). I made reserve list again this year, which I've done the other two times as well. I doubt I will get anything, as I seem lower on the list now than the other times.
My first proposal I got 90/100, then 3 years later I wrote a new proposal for a different host, got 90.2/100. Then now I got 89/100 with a resubmission of this proposal. I would generally say I have just been unlucky with the reviewers. Basically different reviewers assign/interpret the scoring system differently, which can easily make the difference of 2-3 points in the final score. Some reviewers seem extremely generous with scores, while others appear extremely stingy (some seem to NEVER want to give a 5/5, for example).
91 is a good score... are you in reserve list?XmendeleievX wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 2:53 pmCongratulations to the awardees!. I got 91 in EF-CHE (4th time application, 3rd resubmission), there are a total of 3 weaknesses in the all evaluation report, of which two are absolutely non sensical at all. I am absolutely tired of the lottery side of the MC, specially when I never get to win that lottery...
