Old member of the forum here (since the 2018 call). Despite all the efforts we have put into cracking the code, unfortunately there's really little evidence for a relationship between the ranking status and the successfulness of the proposal. Last year I ran some statistical analyses with the data we had, and there was no significant correlation between time of status change and whether the proposal was funded or not (although the datapoints were quite few).
Don't think too much about the status change as it is mostly meaningless.
Good luck to everyone!!

We know this is pointless. But it kills the time and keeps us occupied.

Of course, I've been following the updates and going crazy over the status change for years so there's probably no amount of knowledge that can stop us from doing so
I'm not applying this year (or ever again... I'm beyond the 8-year limit) so at least I'm free from paranoia this time

It is motivated by a strong emotion: ANXIETY, caused by a situation that we do not control. Thus, minds continouly looks for any rules or patterns that, at the end, never are clear or explicit. Tragic and human.

Hi, indeed ahah which one is the magic link? I tried the on that I found in the previous pages but it opens a normal page which doesn't look related to my application. Can you help me with this?:)
Re: 2023 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship(HE-MSCA-PF-2023)
Is there at least any correlation between going to ranking and scoring >70%?
Re: 2023 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship(HE-MSCA-PF-2023)
Yes, it seems to be the only valid correlation (ranking status = +70)

I strongly agree. No relation whatsoever. You can change phase in the last minute and got funded. However, I still go and check it. Does this bias have any name in psychology?michelef wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 3:36 pmHi Folks!
