2023 Reserve list (HE-MSCA-PF-2023)

Post by gincidentallyinquiry » Mon Feb 12, 2024 2:20 pm

Hello all,

Firstly, congratulations to those who received funding. Such an achievement!

For those of us who are still waiting - the shortlisted applicants - let's use this space to discuss the reserve list. Even though the cutoff marks have not been released yet, it appears that the grades are much higher than in previous years.

So, let's share our marks and panels, as well as any other information on the reserve list and status that you receive from the NCP, etc.

Mine: EF-SOC, 94.0.

Hi, thanks for setting this up. Mine is 92.8, EF-SOC in the Netherlands. A quick question: when should we contact our NCP regarding our ranking? Thanks!

Hi there! My score is 92.8, EF-ENG in the UK. I'm afraid those of us on the reserve list in the UK don't have much hope...

I will contact them as soon as the cutoff marks are published - hopefully tomorrow. I confess I am quite scared about the insanely high marks we have this year...

Is it confirmed that the UK applications will not be funded by the EU?

Hello! Mine is 92.8, EF-SOC in Norway. Definitely a score that I saw funded in Norway last year ...

Hi, all! EF-ENV here with 93. Waiting for a response from NCP regarding ranking.

I have also spoken with the host institute's scientific coordinator and have already written a detailed rebuttal. There isn't a single major weakness in my proposal, and I have only one minor "weakness" in each section, but the reviewers have found it acceptable to reduce 0.5 in sections 2 and 3. They recklessly state that I haven't given sufficient information on two aspects, when I have abundantly explained them in all three sections. So, I have included in my rebuttal all the instances of relevant information provided in my proposal. I don't know what the outcome will be, but I am giving redressal a try.
