So, to conclude: the presence of contact in

F&T portal -> Follow-up -> Formal notifications to the EU

seemed to indicate winning the fellowship already 1-2 weeks before the announcement date (the opposite - the absence of contact means "not funded" - was not 100% conclusive). At least, the data in the spreadsheet does not provide any single opposite result. For sure, it is a much stronger criterion than "early ranking" or whatever else.

I am pretty sure that the same thing was true all the previous years. Weirdly, nobody has found this before the current generation of applicants (previous datasets simply did not include the "contact" column).

Let this information be useful for the next generation, to avoid speculations about it, and let us hope that this indicator will not be removed in the future.

Thank you for your comment. Due to suspected interference at some stage, I cannot be certain that all data rows in spreadsheet are completely accurate for each individual, though I hope they are correct. Consequently, a new Google Form has been created with a secured data sheet that allows data entry only, without editing. Unfortunately, this form was released only two days before the results were announced, and only 21 people responded. Also, there is a shortfall that once the results are out, you cannot go back and complete the same form. (which i am trying to refine, so that Users can come back and fill the balance data for their record. but cannot be done so quickly). So, I kindly ask all that those who wish to help future applicants please fill out the new Google Form completely.

If you really believe that there is some factual mistake in their statements
The reviewer names an institute that is in another university than the one I applied to. If it wasnt a case of rejection of a big grant like MCSA, its quite hilarious that this can be passed out to the candidate in the summary report! It is of course a blatant factual mistake, but also makes it seem like a hasty review.
If there are easy-to-prove factual mistakes in your evaluation, you should try appealing.

HOWEVER At first I was also taken aback by some of the comments I received (86% EF-SOC), which seem difficult to interpret (what does it mean?) and to address (what should I improve?) when re-applying in September. For instance, one of the reviewers wrote something along the lines of "the methodological choices (including concepts, models, and assumptions) underpining the project are not adequately explained", without further evidence. At first, it was difficult for me to understand what would be considered an adequate explanation of my methodological choices, all the more because I do not refer to any models in my (qualitative) methodology. The more I think about it, I now understand that the reviewer detected some implicit assumptions in my methodological thinking that they found unconvincing and would need to see better justified. What I mean: evaluations are strongly subjective (especially in the SOC panel, I guess?), tainted by reviewers' epistemologies, likes and dislikes, so please do not be discouraged, try to understand reviewers' logic and try again, as a MSCA proposal or elsewhere.

Congratulations to those who made it and big hugs to those who didn't!

Maybe it makes sense to spread this information in the Facebook group. I will do this.

P.S. But it still says "Already responded"...

Hi! Any one from EF-LIF? I scored 93.8 and in reserve list. I tried to contact NCP UK, but no info form them. Could anyone from EF-LIF here can reply about their rank in EF-LIF? so that I can calculate my position in RL. Thanks a lot.
