Folks I’ve a question. What’s the “Management and Overheads” part of the budget for? It’s a fairly substantial amount of money.
Management costs to host you.
Works towards salaries of administration/HR, IT and maintenance folk, costs for office space(for example, if the institute building is on rent. Or maintenance), desks, laptops/computers, and stuff like that.

From what I understood this is the time (one year after the signature of the GA) when you can inform the EC and host institution when do you want to start. The latest possible date to start is September 2021 ...

Does anyone know the latest start time for MSCA 2019? Do you guys have some official documents? Thanks.
Thank you. One question: why my coordinator contact from the host institution told me that date is in the following 12 months when signing the agreement (April 2019 - March 2020)?

Is this mean the latest time is March 2021. I condused. :(

hi all, i've got a question regarding the allowance: a colleague of mine had a higher marie-curie allowance during the FP7 because he had more than 10 years of experience. Is this still valid within the H2020? I couldn't find this.

I think the call comes out in April or May maybe? Submission deadline this year was September.

Do yourself a favour and avoid any talk to the link, evaluation or ranking next year! Nothing good comes of it!

Hey guys. Could anybody who gets a high score this year guide me which point are important for parts 2(impact) and 3(implementation)?
Actually, I got a high score for excellence but very low score for impact and implementation but I don't know what is my weak points! :)

I got a 94.8 score on this call and these were the comments of the reviewers for Impact and Implementation sections:

IMPACT
Strengths:
-The fellowship will significantly enhance the future career prospects of the researcher by enabling them to enter a new research area and
broaden their knowledge in cutting-edge techniques.
-The proposed measures for the dissemination of the results to scientific audiences are described in detail and are appropriate.
-The proposal includes a very good strategy to reach the non-scientific communities, with social media and standard media included.
Furthermore, the researcher will directly contact some target groups, for example by visiting schools. A beneficial approach to the proposal as
well as to the host as it will draw the attention of potential future Phd students.
Weaknesses:
-Even though the researcher has identified intellectual property as a potential outcome of the project, the measures to protect the associated
rights are not convincingly described.

IMPLEMENTATION
Strengths:
-The work plan is credible, comprehensive and well-structured, and the tasks are properly distributed. Work packages, deliverables and
milestones have been clearly described and identified.
-The Gantt chart is appropriate and also clearly presents the exploitation and dissemination of the project results.
-The time and resources are appropriate and sufficient to reach all stated goals.
-The practical and administrative arrangements already made for the implementation and management of the proposal are good; for example,
the host institution has a project management office as well as other relevant departments to assist in managing the project.
-The host institution has the equipment and infrastructure needed for the successful execution of the proposed project.
Weaknesses:
-The assessment of the risks associated with the proposed research is not addressed adequately.

My personal advice for each sub-section:
2.1.- You need explain why being granted a MSCA fellowship is key to develop your scientific career (acquisition of new skills, creation of your own network of collaborators, visibility in your research field, etc)
2.2.- Here you need to refer to publish your results in Top open-access journals in your research field. Also, make a reference to the ‘Dissemination & Exploitation’ section of the H2020 Online Manual. If you are going to produce intelectual property, indicate how you plan to protect it.
2.3.- Choose different approaches to disseminate your data to a general public (MSCA researcher's night, websites, press releases, E-newsletters, events at schools, social media...). It's important to indicate which type of public you are aiming and how do you plan to give the information.
3.1.- Nothing much to say here, just create a logical Gantt chart and cite EVERY deriverable and milestone while explaining the different work packages. You can also include how do you plan to manage the mobilization of resources, feasability aspects and who is going to be in charge of the financial aspects of the project.
3.2. Show how your host institution has experience managing European projects (cite which is the office in charge to manage these EU projects). Indicate how you plan to establish a decision-making and communication flow with your supervisor about problems that may arise during your project. Indicate the elaboration of a Contigency and Risk Management plan (also as a derivable) and explain some potential risks (you should label these risk as high, medium or low) and their proper contingency measures.
3.3. Indicate the experience of your host institution in managing european projects and what's the international prestige of the institution. Then, you must explain which are the core facilities and instruments that are key components to complete succesfully your project. You can also indicate any international collaborators that will be implicated in your project.

Hope this is helpful for you.

Hi fellows.
I was wondering if there is anyone in this forum from CAR?
If yes, which score was obtained to take a place in the reserve list?
