ERS StG 2020
Re: ERS StG 2020
I just got the email too. No interviews this year...
Re: ERS StG 2020
Are you sure about the canceling of the interviews? Because in twitter people seem to say that their projects go to the next step. Which implies that there is a next step... https://twitter.com/marietabernabeu/sta ... 7303223296

100%. The wording is pretty clear. The next step is basically another round of evaluation, but no interview.

Same here! Email received, but no luck this year. Let's see if the evaluation report is of any help. And keep the spirits up!
Congratulations and good luck to all of you that had made it to Step 2!
It's crazy there will be no interviews this year..

Re: ERS StG 2020
Hi,
I am planning to apply for the StG this year for the phys-chem panel. This is the last year that I am elligible, I got my PhD in 2014. I have some questions for people that have applied.
1. Can you tell a little bit of your line of achievements? I am not that well cited (approx 400 with h of 10) compared to others in my field. My main achievement is a Marie-Sklodowska Curie IF. I do not have any other awards.
2. What do you think that was the most important thing in the application?
3. What were the negative things that were said in the evaluation report and you consider mentioning?
If you have any other suggestions please do share them.
Thanks!

Re: ERS StG 2020
I have been fortunate to pass the first phase but I am very frustrated by the cancellation of the interviews. Apparently my B1 is good but I know my B2 is very bad (I didn't think I'd go through the first phase, I was just looking for feedback on my first try). Because of the lockdown I will not have the opportunity to live the experience of the personal interview.

Congratulations on passing the first phase. Cancelling the interviews can be frustrating. Can you say something in regards to the feedback on B1? What were the pros and cons that you found in the evaluation report?
