So I've checked my own 2016 proposal which made it to the 70% cutoff but was rejected.

It says 'no active processes, look into archived processes'. Then in the Archived processes the proposal exists only as a single document, and there's an emblem on each page.

Then the rejection letter and the evaluation report also contain an emblem, the reference number and the date. The date is 12 january for the evaluation report and 27 january for the rejection letter.

So... not much hopes anymore on the emblem thing...

Hi everyone, I just have a general question about the preparation of the proposal. I submitted a proposal this year and to be honest I found it so challenging! I am curious how people actually improve their proposal writing skills. Do people use resources, do courses etc.? Just interested to know how do the general users here improve their proposal writing skills!!

I am still kind of surprise about how this post only generated a couple od answers and still there are like 8 more pages on colors, fonts and other stuff... We haven't talked yet about the masons manipulating our results!!! Hahaha
Seriously, I'd be very interested on learn more about how to improve writing skills and so on. Apparently in some universities they provide webinars for potential candidates but still didn't find anything really valuable. Any of you throwing some light on this??

I am on the 2019 call reserve list. Both the ESR & information letter have the emblem. ESR dated 16/01/2020 and letter dated 04/02/2020. Guess the Oct 2020 date will change soon...

Can you check your 2019 submission the way it was described on the previous page, to download 2 parts and CV separately?

Proposal only shows up as one document ("sealed proposal") without the emblem.

As for the current call, I have the emblem (Oct 6) for part 2 and the "full" one but not for part 1... Anyone else in this situation?

Strange, you've tried Archived actions for 2019? There the proposal is a single file with an emblem and the evaluation letters with an emblem.

Did you get over 70% threshold in 2019?

I know we are out to beat the page number of last year but I'm sick of reading about an emblem. hope next week we can waste pages on Evaluation/ranking instead

You could try to go to the "follow-up" section > process documents > proposal,
then there should be 3 documents (integrated one, part b1, part b2).

For my case, the top right corner in the first page of those documents has the emblem and ref no with a date (2020 October)
However, when I download only one integrated proposal file from "view submitted" in "my proposal" section, I don't see them.

Here I just see 1 document which is the integrated proposal, sealed date 7th Oct, no separate part b1 and part b2.

Here I see 3 of them separately and all of them have the emblem with 9th Oct (submission for LIFE Sciences).
