yes it is important I was in evaluation and failed
Sorry to hear that Dreamer! For what it's worth, the fact the same project dropped 20 points from last year just goes to show that the evaluation is a complete lottery and in many ways a bit of a nonsense :? It in no way reflects on you as a researcher
Amen, brother/sister. It is indeed a lottery. It'd be easier to take it more lightly if there were more jobs around

Now there is a clarification which is required yesterday on this forum some body wrote a big post on how in resubmission there is a big sanity check when the score is below last call and they do all kind of analysis, now an experienced researcher has a 20 pt drop and fell below threshold so means that scoring is not consistent?

totally. I got three projects scored with the highest grades and still didn't get funded because of budget cuts. (Not Marie Curie, national calls)

So sorry Dreamer. In general EC grant proposals have been losing credibility lately and it is evident with resubmissions. The quality of the reviewers should definitely be reassessed. This was also a comment my boss had when he was in a reviewing panel for EC grants and found the rest of the panel unprepared and not relative to the subject they were reviewing

It's been months, we are waiting for this result
Going insane with our anxiety,
Why EC does not declare the result at the same time, if not before sending it to NCPs
