Not even a Science (or insert chosen top journal in your field) paper is perfect! What kind of logic is there for a training-oriented funding body to only fund absolutely perfect proposals...?

The way I see it, the main reason for it is that there are too many near-perfect proposals within each call. Collectively, we are too good . The problem is in how the EC deals with this. What they do is rely on tiny fractions within the ranking. What they should do is conduct a lottery for those scoring above 85 and leave it to chance, as opposed to reviewer subjectivity.

I guess the problem is that if you have 100 perfect proposals out of 200, the threshold is just that high.Gyttha wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 11:30 amIts not just the reviewer lottery, the system is also really broken if you don't even make the cut with a 94. Many thanks to Dreamer and DreamerGirl for confirming my results.
88 below available funding.
CAR panel.
I moved from Evaluation to Ranking within 2,5 hours.
I hope the above will help some of you or future applicants. Good luck to all!
Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)
I was informed about the results of my proposal from the legendary Dreamer.
Apparently, I got it with 96 main list (panel ENV).
This is my second time applying. Last year was placed on the reserve list with 91.6.
Guys, I know that some of you have although improved their proposal from the old one still couldn't increase their score. So I agree with you on the fact that applying for MSCA is a kind of lottery. That been said, I revised my proposal according to the comments of the reviewers and have not really change the rest of the proposal.
Sorry for the long manifesto!
Good luck to the lucky ones and hard luck for the rest. I hope you can get it next year!
Grazie

Below available funding is the waiting list?

I also support the phase changing is correlated with obtaining the grant. As my status changed very fast within an hour to RANKINGMALEK wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 11:46 amI was informed about the results of my proposal from the legendary Dreamer.

Hello everyone! I think I missed something.
I'm also in the CAR panel and I don't see any changes in my follow-up panel. I can see that some of you have already received their score or have seen a change in their updates - did you check somewhere else? I read that an amazing forum member got the list from a NCP, is that your source or have you also got some notification or change in your account?
I don't have high hopes for obvious reasons but it'd still be nice to know the score and just leave this nightmare behind me.

Hi guys, if you are sending messages it would be good to include information about your project, instead of just asking "can you check my score?"
Also, thanks for all the nice messages that you sent Congratulations to all the people who got it, and best of luck for the next submission for the others!
