Does anybody know if it is possible to claim another revision? I am devasted. Last year I get 91.4%. I have improved my proposal and everything in my evaluation is good. Only few points of weakness very absurds. I have recieved 71% this year with the improved proposal. Without the Seal of excellent, evidently

the letter i received says, we can only ask for review on procedural aspects of evaluation but not merit of proposal. not sure if this includes challenging the score. but as its re-submission and the evaluation does not have weaknesses/(less) may be you can write to this link below:

No, you cannot ask for a reconsideration of the evaluation or the score, only the general procedure.
I also did receive very absurd points of weakness ... but apparently it was sufficient to reduce my rating compared to the same project of last year. My guess: if you re-submitt next year, do not change anything and do not account for the reviewer's comments, it's just a lottery and some new reviewers may find the present version excellent.

Yes. logically correct, we cannot ask for re-evaluation, as there will be requests flooding from the applicants and the whole process and purpose will be lost. Yes, its a LOTTERY, really. But the thing is if 3 evaluators assessing in parallel, and the assessment is consolidated, then there might be some mis-interpreting or misread comments by second level committee (if it exists) then there might be some disruptions in scoring.

What? My application was rejected on a technicality:

"Researcher does not comply with the mobility rule: they have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the
beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline"

However, I started working where I applied for the grant only 11 months before the call deadline.

Honestly this is worse than recieving a bad score, since I worked so hard on the application and now I don't know how I would have even scored...

WOW so frustrating! So sorry for you.... is there anything you can do? You accomplished the criteria, so it is their error…. They should fix it!!! I am very sorry…

Yeah, we are going to challenge, but I am pessimistic. The grading is so subjective, that they will probably just find any excuse not to fund....

I feel like eligibility issues should be notified much earlier to allow challenges before the evaluation period is over.

absolutely. It is so absurd that the results are not communicated in phases. It means they can not fix errors and that many people are waiting for nothing (and this may mean rejecting job offers etc..). Goog luck and all my suport!

Are you in the reserve list? I got 94.4 in the reserve list in the panel EF-LIF. NCP told me I was number 2 in the list - could anyone indicate how much I am likely to get the fellowship based on the results in recent years?

Their calculation of time spent is tricky. were there in that city/country even before you start working there? then that period also be counted if its due to your main activity in that country. Main activity includes your normal living there, provided if you dont have any other job or work elsewhere but simply resided in that country. this is as per interpretation of the clause.

Yes I am in the reserve list... number 8. So no way I will get it. Only if you are first-second in the list you have some chances.

Hello,

I got 92.4 EF-CHE on the reserve list, only an email told me to login and check the results. So I think if the grant agreement email is not sent, then it means a failure.
Does anyone know what the possibility looks like to be granted from the reserve list?
How long should I wait or just give up waiting?

Hi guys,
IF-ENV here, got 77.9 this year, got 90.1 last time for the exact same project. The reviewers' comments had been taken into consideration and the whole thing had been polished ...
My rating has dropped drastically for the Excellence part; I have more comments in strengths, but also in weaknesses, but I don't understand how it can drop like that, except for the fact that one of the reviewers decided to be really mean.
It's so infuriating and incomprehensible. European calls are a big lottery and their review system is absurd.

Same feeling!
Even though it is a big lottery, there is no absolute relation on how a project with a high score drops a lot even with improvements!

I did my PhD work in the USA, but I did a 3 month research exchange in my host country in my penultimate year. I then started working ( at a different instute ) in the same country after I finished my PhD work, about 11 months before the MSCA deadline. My boss seems to think we can argue that the 3 month exchange wasn't my 'main' work (as it was supplementary to my work in the USA). But I dont think it would work.

It kind of sucks, because the main reason I did that exchange was to make it easier to find a job here after I graduated. And it seems to be the thing that disqualified me.

I have got 94.2 in the reserve list in the panel EF-LIF. Not sure where I am in the reserve list, but my expectations are very low...
