I collected my thoughts after sulking a bit. I think I have come a long way from the medical student in India and moved across 3 countries over the past 6 years, completed my PhD, got numerous awards, I have a wide skill set seldom found in one person (not bragging but trying to be see the bright side). I take immense pride that I am an MD/PhD, about to publish pretty good and while MSCA has been an elusive dream, I am focusing on moving back to India and start my own lab sooner than later.

Adios amigos
Kudos to you, my friend!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's been a honour!

Guys, does anyone have any information on the possibility of additional funding being allocated to this program? I'm addressing this to anyone, but it might be of interest specifically to those placed on the reserve lists... Any info (and speculation) would be much appreciated.

Congratulations to all the winners!!!
Now it's time for a well deserved celebration to forget the several weeks of paranoia that you went through!

Did anyone from Brazil here get it? it was my second attempt (in the first I got 93.5%) and now 95%.
I was hopeless because the project was not properly reviewed, but it was approved.
I'm going to Spain on a sustainability project (chemical/food engineering).
I did! Also host in Spain! There's another fellow Brazilian also from CHE who got via ERA! 🥳🥳🥳🥳👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ERA call is specific and the project shall engage Widening Country...etc... and these are not formally considered as MSCA Fellows. but Brazil is not in the list of Widening Country.. anyway,, Congrats.

Weaknesses
- The Gantt chart is broken down to a bi-monthly basis, which affects the assessment of its quality in terms of consistency and accuracy.

Did anyone receive funding with a bi-month gannt chart? Because I already saw approved projects who did it, and that did not seem to be a problem.
this is really subjective, and the MSCA management shall fix some sort of guidelines for objective assessment instead of leaving the criteria as "subjective in nature.
this is really unfortunate. Can we write to the Management? is there any such scope to give feedback?

Okay finally got into the portal to check the score.

EF-SOC
96.80%
4.8/4.8/5.0

Ranked 1st March

Some background for context: my first time applying. I was a "late" applicant - spent about 2 months on the proposal with helpful feedback from supervisor (gave feedback twice on the content) and research advisor (gave feedback about 4 times on the technical aspects of the proposal like language, style, form, etc.) from host institution.

I've never done a postdoc before and I really only have 1 published paper on this particular field (a few are in preparation and I mentioned this in my CV). I have a few from my PhD a few years ago but that was on a different field.

A little surprised that what I thought were weaknesses in the proposal weren't picked on. Other more minor issues were raised.

Anyway, all this to say that it really is a lottery! I can tell that I got lucky with the evaluators that happened to like my project.

Wishing the best for everyone going forward!
Congratulations! I'm also in SOC - 93.2, reserve list. I'm really curious to know what the cut off score was this year.
Thank you! Hope you'll get funded off the reserve list! Am curious to know the cut off score as well, waiting for them to publish that on the site.

Wow, how cool! Congrats on the approval!
I'm going to Valladolid (UVa) and you?
CEU, Madrid
It turns out I was not so crazy speculating about the living costs in Madrid 😊
Spain takes a big chunk of the monthly payment, unfortunately...
I got funding from the Spanish government with the same remuneration as EF MSCA (I got this funding because I got the excellence seal on my last attempt) and I was informed that the net payment amount was around 2850 euros.. very frustrating, but if you ask for family allowance, the value goes up a lot.
If you want, we can "trocar figurinhas" (I've already legalized my documents and etc) my cat's insta is: @tintimogato
Abraço!

With a score of 93.2 I've got over 20 people in front of me on the reserve list in SOC, so zero chance of getting funded. It was brutal this year...
Hello. Can I ask how you happen to know the number of people above you in the RL?
Thanks!
