Thanks for sharing! I did see it. And I also read that there are mixed reactions from EU sources, ranging from "there will be a measured response from EU" to "we will remind UK of their obligations". But I guess they're waiting to see what will happen over the next few days...emancipatedcity wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 1:42 pmHi guys

Also, this: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/p ... 74019.html
"Over in Westminster, Boris Johnson is planning to announce new laws that will “deliver on the promise of Brexit” as he looks to bounce back from a bruising set of results for the Tory party.
The British prime minister said he would reveal a “super seven” of Brexit Bills which will cut red tape and “unnecessary barriers inherited from the EU” in the Queen’s Speech next week."

Re: MSCA RESERVE LIST 2021
Probably you should have a high chance to get the funding finally, as they have mentioned the cut-off score is 92.8%. I also received the seal of excellence (91.2% in CHE). does it more or less equivalent to the award of an MSCA fellowship?

I got also 91.2% for CHE. However, if i want to be realistic it is not easy to be award the MSCA funding. All in all we are waiting and the hope is always there

'Morning, guys! I'm sure you've followed the politics, so I'm not sharing any more news on that, but here is an article with a perspective from the side of science: https://www.timeshighereducation.com/ne ... age-widens
"The UK is at “real risk” of losing its position as a research leader within Europe – in addition to millions of pounds of funding – as uncertainty over association to Horizon Europe continues, a leading physicist has warned.
Carsten Welsch, who heads the University of Liverpool’s physics department, said that he and other senior scientists across the country could soon have to give up their roles as coordinators of major Europe-wide projects – and potentially exit them altogether – given the deadlock over the UK’s membership of the European Union’s flagship research scheme.
The German physicist told Times Higher Education that his university would be forced to step aside as the leader of a €2.6 million (£2.2 million) EU-funded Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions doctoral network that would bring some of Europe’s leading PhD researchers to work on the creation of novel plasma accelerators that could be used to create high-energy lasers in industry, medicine and science.
If the UK does not gain full membership of Horizon Europe, Liverpool will not be able to register prestigious Marie Skłodowska Curie doctoral students, who are eligible for salary and benefits worth up to €4,710 a month over four years, added Professor Welsch."

The whole situation obviously sucks (to put it mildly), but I guess we just have to wait and see what it means for us...
