2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
Hi, is there anyone here who has applied for UKRI guarantee funding in EF-CHE panel?
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
I didn´t see that information in anywhere...But if on 17th they have not signed I will apply to UKRI in this precisely moment...PROSCO wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:09 pmSpain-1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 9:34 amPraba wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 5:04 pm
Hi, at the present situation, does UK-based applicants will be able to sign GAP, or need to wait until the association is happening? If UK-based applicants sign the GAP, do we need to wait until EC will respond? it may depend upon the association between the UK with HE. Did you get any info from EC (or UKRI) about the GAP signing or UK-EU association? Thanks
Hi! No one gives me any information. I think the best thing I can do is waiting til 17th May and pray for UK will sign the agreement. Without the agreement we cannot sign the GAP. If they don't sign the agreement before 17th May, I will ask for the UKRI guarantee... I mean, this year could happen, even more before the Windsor... But no one knows
But isn't the UKRI guarantee fund application ends on the last day of March? What happens if you don't apply for the UKRI grant fund and waited until May and still the UK is not associated with HE?

Hi, thanks for this useful info. I'm hoping to apply for the UKRI funding soon (since I'd like to start early in the summer) and was wondering where to find those UKRI stats you referenced? I'd be keen to have a look.Praba wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 3:17 pmHi, it depends upon the time when we apply to UKRI, the start date will be possibly delayed. Some of our institute people who are already funded by UKRI say that the applications submitted in the initial period (Feb and March) are processed very quickly compared to the applications submitted in May-July, due to the large volume of applications submitted to UKRI and their further process. It is clearly visible in the statistics provided by UKRI. So keep this also in mind.Spain-1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 12:53 pmHi! I've been invited and I am trying to understand what should I do now. We recived an email from our Research Office with steps to follow for filling the Grant Agreement Data. But nothing since ~20 Feb. Our department has told us to apply to UKRI guarantee but I would like to wait a little bit more... I really want to be funded by EC. The UKRI is appying £1=EUR1.18 as exchange rate, but the exchange is 1.13 at the moment, so if we are funded by UKRI we will loose like 9000 EUR...
I've been told that if you get the money from EC, you can discuss your rate change with your UK University and ask for a refund in case the value of pound vary. For me, the country is really depressed, so I would like not to loose money because of being funded by UKRI.
I'm also wondering if anyone has already submitted the UKRI application (and if so whether it's been approved yet)? Thanks!

In 2022, the MSCA-PF 2021 GAP deadline was mid of July, hence the large number of applications were submitted and waited for a very longer time to get a grant. The deadline of UKRI guarantee funding for MSCA PF 2021 was 1st March 2023. If I'm assuming correct, the deadline was anounced on Dec 2022. So, in December 2022 and January 2023, most of the applications were submitted, and now comparatively less numbers of applicants are waiting for a grant. Again, mid of Feb 2023, MSCA-PF 2022 results were declared and UKRI has anounced their guarantee funding on 28th Feb 2023 for MSCA-PF 2022. So, we are expecting, the number of applications will be increased gradually from March and touch in peak at the month May and June. So, we need to wait for a very longer time to get a grant if we apply after mid April.
Please note these numbers are verified applications after submission. We do not know exactly how long they may take for verification once we submit the application in a peak time, if the number of submitted applications are more.
I guess it may give you some info. I was trying to get some more details about how many applicants so far applied for a guarantee funding for MSCA-PF 2022. UKRI has told that they started recieving applications, but they are restricted to share exact numbers to any individual. I will share here if I get some more details. Best wishes

Thanks very much, it's really helpful to see this!
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
Hi, I'm curious if any UK-based MSCA recipients have applied for the UKRI Horizon Guarantee and heard back? In the UKRI guidance it says it takes about 7 weeks to process so I'm guessing those who applied right away might have already been offered the grant. It would be really helpful to know if that's the case (for planning purposes). Thanks in advance!
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
Does anyone have a news on the reserves? When will the reserve be notified if they are selected for the grant?
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
as per previous experienced people, might take 5 months from the results announced. so, could be by July 2023. just an anticipation from this notion. no specific information, as far as i know.
Re: 2022 Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (HE-MSCA-PF-2022)
They asked us to wait till May end. For 2022 participants, they got info on the reserve list around 3-4 months. I checked in the same TALK ACADEMIA there is a topic.
I am also waiting for the same, and my host also informed me to wait till May end.
But TBH it is very frustrating, they announce so many reserve list but no clear answer or statists that how many will be eligible for Grant agreement. European host candidates are still better than the UK, as the EU has the seal of excellence MSCA as well for some countries.
