ERC Starting grant 2024
ERC Starting grant 2024
Hi guys, this year I will apply at the SH2 panel.
Is there anyone else who will apply? How do you feel?
Let's use this thread to wait together for the results
Good luck!

Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
Wow, thank you for replying, it's so rare to meet people from SH2. This year we should be about 200 applicants overall, like in 2019.
When do you think the results will come out? End of March?
I wish they would tell us if our proposal was sent to the external reviewers, the anxiety is real!
Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
Yes, I think it will be around mid-March but I'm already impatient...
It's my first attempt, I'm actually a philosophy major. This year they have put political and legal philosophy in SH2

Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
And do you know what percentage passes to the interview?
Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
First attempt for me too, and I am a philosopher of law (but mainly law major), my proposal is about AI and bioethics.
I only had 1 year of postdoc when I applied, it's gonna be though! I am already thinking about reapplying
Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
Thanks for the information! For me it is the last opportunity before exceeding the 7-year STG deadline.

Re: ERC Starting grant 2024
I am thinking to apply this year but I have NO IDEA how to do so.
My panel should be Life Sciences: how relevant is to have a CNS paper first author?-
I have a NCB paper first author from my postdoc and a Mol Cell first author review (plus others from the PhD less relevant), but I heard from some people that that would not be enough, so it would be a waste of time applying. I have other 2 first author MS that will see the light soon but not so soon for this call.
What do you guys think?
Shall I give it a try anyways?
