How about the no deal Brexit?

If article 50 is extended, will they wait till the end of the extension period? It doesn't make any sense...
I was told that "brexit is not a risk factor", so did I just waste two months of my life and a load of EU tax payer money on nothing?

Are there any more clues pointing to Brexit having role here than the one reply in Twitter (which I can't find anymore, maybe deleted)?

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
My understanding is that in a No Deal Brexit, folks like myself who have a UK host will be up shit creek, fellowships will not be allowed to proceed. British folks however who have hosts in other countries will be fine as the UK govt will foot their bill.
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
I thought its is precisely the opposite. EU does not allow you to have a UK host if UK is not EU anymore. So British coming to the EU states will have the fellowship paid but those with a host in UK will be asked to change hosts or the UK gov will pay for it. But who knows what will happen...

Maybe someone now is need to call Brussels (Ms. Hellocvu) again to ask whether they will delay after next Tuesday.

If it is indeed related to Brexit: could they not just prepare a few possible scenarios (No Deal Brexit; various Deal Brexits; no Brexit) and inform those who are ultimately rejected/accepted in all possible scenarios and leave the others in a "limbo" similar to being on a reserve list?
Kinda like sudoku but the information would be helpful for many of us.

If only the UK would have a competent government and opposition.

"After 29 March 2019 if there’s ‘no deal’
In the event of a ‘no deal’ scenario, the UK’s departure from the EU would mean UK organisations may be unable to access funding for Horizon 2020 projects after exit day. However, the Chancellor announced in August and October 2016 that the government will guarantee funding for competitively bid for EU projects submitted before we leave the EU, including Horizon 2020 projects. This guarantee will cover all successful bids submitted by UK participants before the UK exits the EU, for the full duration of the projects."
