Ethics requirements should be met anyway. There is no connection to the ranking. They only ask for clarifications on ethics in case the candidate have a very high score/place in the list.MSCA_CHEM_2019 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:02 pmHow is it possible that they made the ranking if the deadline for ethics reviews is Friday? Good. But what happens if the applicant does not present the ethical aspects clearly addressed? Although, I guess this will rarely happens.Amar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:17 pmEthics requirements should be met anyway. There is no connection to the ranking. I believe this is negotiable. Every institute has people in Research Office that are trained on ethical aspects. So, basically the candidate is not alone to address those issues. After all, some proposals required more gentle handling and quality check of ethics. If they didn't do it then (before submission), they, for sure, have to do it now.MSCA_CHEM_2019 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:20 pmGood. For this transition year (at least) the UK is still a paid participant in H2020 (the "bill" of Brexit is one of the things remaining to be negotiated, I think). The difficulty would have been with a hard Brexit and no agreement in place, in which case funding was underwritten by the UK government for submitted proposals, as others have stated. But in this case, I think the funding comes from the EU without a problem. However, I don't know that it will be possible to submit a future application for an MSCA IF to a UK institution, but I don't know if anyone knows yet what the situation will be. Last year after the results came out no one knew if it would be possible to get another application in, so it is rough for those of us aiming at the UK if we might need to try one more time.Amar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:27 pmWithout any speculations : if I was in charge in the Brussels office, i would certainly requested to give the results before the Brexit date. Think about it, how hard they worked to make this happen. And how insane it will be for all the officers to revise every single grant based on new SOPs. UK is one of the top countries in terms of MSCA submissions. I am just saying.....
And even more, it's just sad that the UK is leaving the EU.

Only 385 pages of comments and fighting to go in order to match the madness of last year
